Once upon a starry night shined one star extremely bright.
Shepherds in the field did see this star glowing ever so brilliantly.
Then from heaven an angel came bringing good tidings to everyone the same.
Peace on earth good will toward men for tonight is born the redeemer of sin.
In haste to Bethlehem they came looking for the Savior inquiring his name.
When in a manger they found the precious gift from heaven had been sent down.
Glory and praise they did give for now they knew that the Savior lives.
Wise men came from afar searching the reason of the star.
With gifts of myrrh, frankincense, and gold rejoiced and said the half has never been told.
Now we celebrate the memory of the glorious date in his-story.
Giving gifts to the ones we love just as God gave the precious gift from heaven above.
A star filled night, a glorious light, and the gift that gave eternal life.
So remember this wonderful Christmas season the true unadulterated reason.
Itís not about the gifts you give, but remembering that Jesus lives.
